Rico Medina
Rico Medina is a third generation, lifelong resident who has been blessed to live in and serve San Bruno. Throughout the years Rico has worked for the City of San Bruno in the Parks and Recreation department, served as a City Council Member and now as the current Mayor of San Bruno.

On the issues
As mayor, I have provided leadership during San Brunos’s most challenging times. From the PG&E tragedy (serving as vice-mayor), fighting for community service hours being converted into funds for fire mitigation in the canyon, the shooting incidents at YouTube and Tanforan Mall, to the conversation around social justice and the tear gas incident at the San Francisco Jail that affected our local school and community. The knowledge and experiences gained managing these crises is what we will need to navigate the coming uncertain times and position San Bruno not to just merely recover but thrive.
